It isn't about comebacks. It is that shots don't hit the target, or are inexplicably straight at the goalkeeper, the opposition goalkeeper making wonder save after wonder save, that your own goalkeeper can't save routine shots anymore, and that the opponent therefore scores from his only shot/shots on goal. That Sturridge all of a sudden can't out-sprint Mertesacker...
I don't buy the explanation that it all of a sudden is me. The whole thing about being able to go on a run in the first place is that you defend well and your finishing is mostly pretty good. There are always going to be a couple of chances for the other guy, but you still expect your goalkeeper to make routine saves. All of a sudden that is not the case anymore, and it doesn't make much sense.
