If it weren't for the ridiculousness of defending in the penalty area, I'd say that EA has nailed it on 15. That is a MASSIVE let down though... What I mean by that is that HOW goals are scored in the game reflects quite well what it is like in football. Scoring from set pieces was way too easy in 14. In 15, corners and angled freekicks are still good chances, but you don't score, or concede, from every other attempt. I feel the same way about crosses; they are still good goal scoring opportunities, but nowhere near as ridiculous as in 14.
Pace is difficult. First, we must acknowledge that pace IS a massive weapon in football. It wasn't Walcott's immaculate technique which had Barcelona worried a couple of years ago... Also, how effective would players like Bale, Robben and Ronaldo be if you took 15 percent of their pace away? My point is that pace IS important in football, and EA has to, then, figure out a way to make it important in the game, but without destroying the game. I generally think they have done that very well in 15.
If they could fix defending in the penalty area, then this game would be absolutely ace IMO.
