Oh, I agree the speculative ball over the top is easier to defend against. I was thinking of players running with the ball, and there I feel it is much harder to defend. I've played a few guys who have mastered how to use the right stick properly when sprinting, and that has been really difficult to defend against for me.

I had that problem at first, trick is not to let them draw your centre halves out. Bring a mid back to track them or call for a second player and just contain them. Guys running from kick off used to get me till I started going after them with my forward, then they just run Ito a mid.

I have Ramires in midfield, and if he gets the ball in a bit of space I can take him right through midfield into the opposition box in like three dribbles. Rather ridiculous.

Scoring from kick off is great, seems to terrify people when you just run at them 😆

Even manage it against the CPU which is unusual.

Not much for conspiracy theories, but I feel very confident in saying that FIFA is scripted. Happens every time I go on a winning run, and happened just now again after myself going on a winning run. Won 5 in a row, and then in the sixth game shit happened. I was pretty sure I'd end up losing after about 30 minutes because all the fucking signs were there; I'm absolutely battering the opponent. Creating top chance after top chance. However, shots are inexplicably just off target, straight at the goalkeeper, or the goalkeeper makes a wonder save. On top of that, when Sturridge is played in from near the halfway line, Mertesacker somehow keeps up with Sturridge in a foot race! In the end, the bloke has 2 shots on target to my 14, and of course scored from both shots.

You've only just realised!? FIFA is definitely scripted, same as PES. I call it the 'random factor'. Can swing between players multiple times in a match.

Yeah, I'm sure it isn't me. I've never been prolific, but when you finish the same way over and over where it is usually a goal and it doesn't happen - then there is something off. Mertesacker keeping up with Sturridge? That was just ridiculous.

Nah, I am pretty confident I am right. I've sucked hard for a while so haven't gone on any real runs. Found my mojo now though and results are picking up. You win 5 or so on the bounce, then you get one or two of these games. That's my experience anyway.

In all seriousness, if they were going to script games, they'd do it against the CPU or if they were going to do it online they'd do it within a game, i.e. once you go 3-0 up. I see absolutely no reason why they'd script in the way that you describe, people enjoy winning and that's generally a good thing for them, and superior oppenents would eventually end any winning run once you go up the league... and I don't think they'd put an end to it out of spite.
