I know this is so 2013, but I finally bought GTA V at the weekend... and, basically, Jo and I spent the whole weekend playing it. Apart from the Arsenal game yesterday, obvs. It's funny, it looks great and, I think, more engaging that any GTA game I've played for some time.

Only question is, what took me so long?

As per all GTA games, I haven't touched it after being hooked for the first two months.

It is by far the best game i've ever played though.

Great fun, I thought the first few missions were more fun than the last few though. They'll need to work on that.

😆 i bought the game when it came out and still haven't played it. I bought gta4 and still haven't started that either. I'm way behind on my backlog

Rex, Jo got on the membership scheme about three weeks before I did, so she's now a silver member along with our mutual friend, James. I am still a lowly red member- 10 fucking years later!

She is also generally better than me at computer games- apart from sports based ones she tends not to bother with. We've played Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare,various GTAs and MGS together. Not sure I'd bother with these games if she didn't. Well, I probably would with GTA. Particularly this one.

For those waiting to dive in: Xbox One is being reduced to £399 with Titanfall which makes it a better deal than a PS4.

Are we likely to see the price drop down much further in the next year or so?

I'm thinking of diving in around this time next year.

Couldn't say, but you would have to think so, even if it's another £50 or so.

Thats still as expensive as a PS4 and a game though.

Wasn't the XBOX coming with a free copy of FIFA before? Surprising they have dropped the price so quick, wonder if those who paid full price will get anything in return.

Their biggest problem is still how underpowered it is compared to the PS4, iirc a few games not running at 1080p to run on XBOX. Price was a factor but they never fully recovered from the negative press they got last year. PS4 though need to get the system updates out a lot quicker, so many little issues need sorting out.

PS4 out in Japan but not the best launch sales wise, think they haven't got enough native Japanese content out yet

In America the PS4 cameras were sold out a few weeks ago and very hard to get hold of, seem readily available here though.

Even though my one came with the camera I haven't even used it once. But my mate wants to buy one for his, loved using his Kinect. I've told him I use mine which is why he probably has permanently borrowed my one yet.....
