I just wonder about the thought of having Ramsey, Gotze, Arteta, Wilshere rotating in one team. That group seriously lacks 1) ability to beat a man 1-on-1 and 2) consistent goals. We need more scorers in the team.

Lacks physicality too (excluding Ramsey), I'm tired of having a team of midgets 🙁

Wilshere can beat a man though, Gotze's meant to be a good dribbler too.

That team could work with Ramsey, a bruiser (Wanyama?), and Wilshere in the middle, and santi and Gotze on the wings. Would probably need a world class striker to succeed though.

Watched the Dortmund - Malaga game last night. This Gotze chap was missing chances left, right and centre. Gervais would've been proud.

He had other things on his mind: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2303855/Mario-Gotze-urinates-Malagas-stadium.html

hope he washed his mitts before the pre-game handshake

not sure where gotze would play. we might have too many cooks with him, jack, and santi in the same side

Considering the players we already have - I don't think Götze would be a good fit for us.

Maybe we could do with spending money on other positions first, but bringing a player of Gotze's ability to the club can only be a good thing for us. We're not going to get everything we need this summer to sort the team out, we never do, so any player of genuine quality brought in is another player for us to enjoy watching.

Personally I think Jack, Gotze and Cazorla could play together - but Arteta would probably have to come out of the team for someone with a little more power and athleticsm, and unless that player were extremely good, which is unlikely because there aren't many about, we'd lose a lot taking Arteta out.

Gotze is better than anyone we have here.

Would obviously love to see him here, and I certainly think there is 'something' to these rumours.

To me the priority is a CDM and a more mobile forward to rotate with Giroud. Can't see us signing two quality players in these positions along with a keeper if we were to get Gotze.

To me Jack is not and never will be a CAM. He is best utilised deeper where is tenacity, short/medium passing a runs from deep are better utilised. Opens up a little gap further forward for another playmaker...

But to indulge in a little bit of fantasy for a moment..

                              Gonalons Wilshere

                          Walcott Cazorla Gotze

Would be pretty special with Santi and Gotze interchanging all the time, and with the energy of Ramsey, Rosicky, Ox and Poldi in reserve as well. Has just about everything (apart from height!)

Falls down a little bit when you get to big old Olivier up front though..! No chance what so ever of Gotze AND Jovetic joining. I suppose the above could work though if Wenger plans on playing Theo and Poldi more through the middle next year.

Still think the priority has to be a World class 9, unless Wenger thinks he can continue to spread goals around the squad. Matter of time until one of Jack/Ramsey/Ox begin to contribute in this regard as well.

Exciting time ahead for once what ever happens though I think.

So he wants to go to barcelona next year...

30mill was never gonna be enough for the top talent in bundesliga.

We'd never spend the money for Gotze.

Wenger probably won't ever go above 20m for one player. Even 20m is difficult to envisage to be honest.

If we are gonna spend 30+ million i wouldnt want Gotze tbh.

If we bought an attacker that's special enough, i.e. someone who can open up a defense several times a game, then I don't think a world class striker would be absolutely completely necessary. In fact I reckon it may even be more useful.

Whether or not Gotze is special enough, I don't really know.

Götze is pretty damn special.

Yep. It's a tough call on who you'd decide to spend that sort of money on, but he's up there

I'd probably put the lot on a mini accumulator at will hill then buy iniesta

Or you could diversify and invest in the property market. Oh wait, we already did that.

Guys do you think iniesta is any good?

used to have my doubts until about 2 or 3 years ago. kid is special. would instantly be our best player since Titi if he came here. he's one of those who stats fail, sort of like Zidane and Figo, but is magical on the field.

did you see that turn he pulled on those two PSG defenders last week?

goetze is a fantastic player, but would prefer to spend that kind of money on a striker.
