Wengie out of contract 2014.,
Mario Götze
i'm not convinced by lewandowski. would rather have reus but that's impossible. gotze is an impossibility as well.
saw dortmund in person at the freiburg match. they're an absolute joy to watch and the atmosphere was fantastic. i've underrated lewandowski, he's got pretty good feet, though i still wouldn't say he's a clinical finisher. definitely would be an upgrade on giroud.
You're in Germany now?
was just in germany and france for a week on holiday.
Kami, Lewandowski is one of the best point men in world football. He has excellent movement, and he integrates well with his playmakers, acting as a target for balls going forward, and then redistributing to the Reuses and Gotzes.
His one weakness is that he's not a guy who's going to take on defenders and make his own goals the way a Benzema, Ronaldo, Suarez can
I think we are underrating Lewandowski abit. He is much more mobile and pacy then we give him credit for. He is very good at assisting goals as well not to mention goalscoring. His feet is amazing for a big striker, just look at his goals this week.
Meanwhile, Sahin is back in top form for them. They really have an amazing front four. Just imaine if Kagawa is still there.
Reminds me of van Nistelrooy. He's off to bayern
thats what i read as well.
He'll do well there.
37m euros buyout clause and he only mentions Madrid, Barca and United. Going to need a pretty solid link to look past that.
Burnsy, that's what we get for gutting the club for a decade. Gotze would be mad to come here unless
a) we signaled a revolution by bringing him AND another marque player, eg Suarez, Cavani; or
b) gave him more money than he imagined one could ever earn for kicking a ball around
Unless he's renogiatiated his contract since, we were rumoured to have bid circa £35m for him a few summers back - that'd triggered his buy out.
Maybe he's already shunned us lol
The idea that Wenger ever bid 2.5x his comfort zone still seems fantastical to me.

Yep although £30m is the figure I remember being bandied around and I didn't really believe it then.
Frankly this is a case of if he's attainable by us, he's more attainable to someone else. Good news is quite a few big names seem to be on the move this summer—maybe one of them will land at Arsenal when the dust settles. City and Chelsea are both going to change manager which you'd assume means money available.
See Götze as more of a luxury buy for us. Seems to me there are other types of players we need more. If we are going to spend big it better be on a proper CF and not another midfielder who doesn't defend well.
Humble, when a player is quality, given our circumstances, there is no such thing as luxury. we are no longer in a position where we need one more player. we desperately need quality all over the field. he and Jack are good enough to learn to play together.
my preference is a goal-scoring machine, but we are not miserable on the goal-scoring front. i think our biggest defensive problem for Wenger has been the inability to build a team that keeps the ball. our ball retention used to relieve pressure on our defenders. now they're more exposed to opposition attacks
Man U are running away with it this year and the only thing amazing with their squad is their attacking power. Good, but not exceptional wingmen. Good, but not exceptional central mids. Good, but not exceptional fullbacks. Good, but not exceptional CBs any more. Good, but not exceptional goalkeepers. Good, but not exceptional mana... Oh, well.
More than anything IMO we need an exceptional striker. A lot more than a Götze. It is all about priorities.
They also have an exceptional manager in ole red nose
