Zen riddle which may help some of you stragglers find enlightenment.

What type of man behaves like an idiot?

Wenger time and again makes problematic decisions that hold us back.

He's not one of us.
He's one of them.
His decisions aren't made for our benefit.

They are idiotic in that they are not made with the aim of building the strongest team possible.
As usual he's gambled big and is relying on the stuff of dreams to propel us to winning anything, but is probably secure enough in terms of having done enough to keep us ahead in the race for fourth.

The only thing that matters are the 3 league titles (unbeaten run) and 4 fa cup wins out of that list, its a good record but in 16 years is that enough for Arsenal? Considering (albeit at an easier time) george graham won 2 leagues and 1 fa cup.

Chamakh? Wenger took an average player with a poor scoring record and made him look world class for the period RVP was out. If anything, Wenger made him a better player than he was.

As for Arshavin, you can't pin his demise on Wenger. Unfortunately his style wasn't suited to the PL.

Both arguments are extremely tenuous. No one can make a crap player better, it's about providing the opportunities for players with the right talent but who haven't been afforded the chances they deserve. Hleb was given plenty of chances and played a fairly significant role in Wenger's thinking. As soon as he joined Barcelona, he wasn't given the same attention because his talent is an insignificant speck compared to the players they had at the time.

Similarly, Chamakh and Arshavin were at the heart of everything good for their respective teams before they joined us and they played well when they were given enough chances. But a little competition for places and they bottled it because they are probably two of the least professional and cowardly players we've had at the club.

At some point players need to assume responsibility, for their successes and failures. It's not all about the manager.

What I will say is that it's rare that Wenger's let a player go and he's turned out to be better than first thought. Of course, we keep players around for years after they've stopped contributing so maybe that's got something to do with it.

This more than anything Y va.
The owner of this club doesn't care about winning trophies has no interest in it beyond how much money it can make him, hell he doesn't even like football.
He sets the agenda for the toadies beneath him, Wenger is allowed to continue as long as his dry economic philosophy is perfectly in tune.
He is no gambler Y he risks nothing and his position isn't under any threat as long as we turn a profit.
As I say he's an economist first football manager second.

Squallkid we know all of those facts about Wenger.

If those fact are enough for you to dismiss the last seven years of nothingness and allow you to continue to believe that glory is just around the corner, fair enough.
But have some understanding of why it is that others question Wenger, at least recognise that there are really convincing grounds for believing that Wenger's best years are gone and that his ambition is now to run a self sustaining football business as opposed to moving heaven and earth to win the league.

Don't be insulting people with trite Wenger Knows rubbish
