For the life in me i cannot understand why such a brilliant guy insists on taking so much flak for people around him. If i were him i would quit and take that job at Bayern or Real or PSG.

I actually think its Wenger who dictates our transfer policy not the board. This is how he's always been since he first arrived at the club and this is how he was at Monaco. When we were at the heights of our power the transfer record was a £12 million Sylvan Wiltord. All of our best players were signed for low prices and developed. This has always been Wengers philosophy. Remember our flawed wage policy was Wengers idea not the boards.

I'm not saying he has 200million to spend but i believe he could go out and buy a player for 30 million+ if he wanted to. He just prefers to sign 3-4 cheap raw talents for that kind of figure and develop them into good players. The board go along with it because he's generating profit for them while still maintaining a consistent presence in the CL.

YG is close to the mark, he is extremely patronising and autocratic becomes angry when he is questioned and is increasingly distant from us fans, he displays all the traits of someone who's been in power too long.
He can't be removed quick enough as far as I'm concerned.

Whereas every negative and damning comment of Wenger is okay and no one asks for any justification as to why you hold those views.

The Opening post offers no proof of Wenger being an idiot but yet no one so far has asked for any, it's a negative perception of an unpopular figure and therefore accepted.

(Sigh) I actually agreed with YG when he said that Wenger far from being an idiot is actually the driving force behind much of the policies at the club.

He's gone into the season with an untried front three who just do not compliment each other. It;s madness to think that 2 squad slots are taken by Arshavin and Chamakh, both of whom offer nothing and both of whom will be on hefty wages above the average.

He's not one of us.
He's one of them.
His decisions aren't made for our benefit.

They are idiotic in that they are not made with the aim of building the strongest team possible.
As usual he's gambled big and is relying on the stuff of dreams to propel us to winning anything, but is probably secure enough in terms of having done enough to keep us ahead in the race for fourth.
