Not necessarily--it's entirely possible Cesc's poor attitude carried over to Barca

I'm sure it did, no doubt at all.

But wanting to punish your 40m signing,
for a season with 48 appearances, 15 goals and 20 assists,
while competing for attention and his preferred position with Leo Messi,
because he has a poor attitude,
by selling him,
when your club has agitated for his signing for years,
and finally unsettled him to the point that he forced a move,
when he has a first refusal clause to the club that just sold him to you,

is fucking daft to the point of being mad.

Ah well, it's all just politicised Barca hearsay anyway, who gives a fuck.

Well he was only a political buy anyway, Guardiola probably never needed nor wanted him- Like Shevchenko at Chelsea.
Like I said before- he was bought because their brat fans saw some other kids with a toy and wanted it, but as you say who gives a fuck- the slimy little greasy cunt is gone and he isn't coming back so it's all good.

He doesn't fit into their style of play. In the same way - despite the goals and assists - Theo doesn't fit into ours. If he played a bit deeper, I could imagine him being like a better version of Arteta but he seems to have no interest in that.

For the record, their fans didn't want Fabregas.

Yep. I remember reading on barca forums how they wanted Sanchez or other players etc over Cesc. Not many were enthu about Cesc especially for the price. However IMO Cesc is too talented not to succeed at Barca. Its just a matter of time and discipline.

P.S. - I always found Guardiola a bit wierd. It was hard to put a finger on it, but i could never take to him despite his obvious success/talent.

I hope Cesc is taking note of all this, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Their fans don't appreciate the brilliant player that he is and IF those quotes are true neither did Guardiola.

Come home Cesc, everyone here will appreciate the magnificent player that you are and give you the respect you deserve.

Make it happen Gazidis.

He is barca's bitch he will prefer rotting on the bench and collecting the few trophies they win, then come back here.

I do not get this place sometimes.

Van Persie goes and everyone throws up a fit waxing lyrically about how great he is, we should have kept him, they don't care about his statement, the club values 24 million pounds more than a title push. Even though he's gone to that scum in Manchester.

Even mention the greatest midfielder this club has seen bar Vieira in the past 20 years and the best player of the past 8 years and suddenly the enthusiasm isn't so great, he doesn't become the difference between a 4th place battle and a real push at the title, no one says the board values 34 million pounds more than a title push. It's just relief that we've seen the back of him and this saga has ended.

What's so different about Cesc and RVP? Both have left and both would improve our team but somehow RVP is valued higher than Cesc even though he's an inferior player and betrayed us in the biggest way.

Think you're imagining it. Both have their supporters and detractors among us now, both did when they were Arsenal players as well.

Maybe but I don't recall the same clamor there is now over RVP than there was when Cesc left.

Most people were happy to see him go.

Honestly, it was much worse. Robin's main quality was his end product but people can see that as far as attacking influence go this team haven't missed a beat with Cazorla and Podolski in the side. When Cesc left we didn't get a replacement at all however. Our big attacking signings were Gervinho and a sixteen-year-old Chamberlain. People were tearing their hair out to the left and right.

You're forgetting what a long, drawn out process Cesc's departure was. We'd already endured one intolerable saga the year before, and speculation before that.

Most of the gnashing and wailing had already subsided by the time he left, it was obvious he was 99% gone for months.

And they still don't.

Squallkid, you say you don't get this place sometimes, but on the other hand you say fuck Van Persie and keep saying "come back home Cesc".

That's just ridiculous.

Well contrary to what people like to think we don't have a rivalry with barca, yes they are cunts but we don't even have to think about them unless we're playing them, the history just isn't there to create a rivalry and a few games in europe won't change that. AC milan and liverpool don't consider themselves rivals even though they've played each other in two finals. The history just isn't there for me for a rivalry with them.

Unlike with man utd where you have years and years of us competing against each other, giggs goal in the semi final, keown and van nistelrooy, when we lost our unbeaten run, stapleton going to them, winning the league at old trafford. There's years and years of history there, we're not rivals with barca because they buy players off us either, if we were then man utd and madrid would consider themselves rivals over beckham and ronaldo.

To sum up I hate man utd far more than I hate barcelona, barca are just another cuntish club full of divers to me that I don't even think about unless we're playing them so cesc going there is a small issue for me inspite of the way they all went about it. Man utd for me represent a much bigger hate figure and van persie going there as our captain knowing all of our history, playing in the fa cup final against them and being at the club when we lost our unbeaten run was the act of ultimate betrayal that I can never forgive.

Okay. So just because we have a greater rivalry with United you'll overlook what Cesc did.

Convenient.

I had no problem with Cesc going to Barcelona but I'll never take him back. Not after he refused to play for us just to force a move.

Well that's my explanation.

If Cesc had gone to Man Utd he would be in the same category as Judas.

Fuck RVP.
