I'm not even angry this year. Expected nothing else from today after the debacle we got last summer. I could fully believe the club would let the fans down again. Just sad really. We just don't get it. Idiots are running the club, men who clearly know didly squat about football. And Wenger, a proper great manager, should hang his head in shame that he doesn't do more to make us as good as we can be.

Very, very disappointing.

Indeed Rick, I don't understand why people think we don't see eye to eye on many topics.

It's a sad state of affairs mate. We just don't seem interested in winning any more. Can't see the wood for the trees. Another profitable transfer window, to the tune of £10M, and no doubt another profitable season in store, with us scraping into the top 4 - but, other than our bean counters, who really gives a toss?

Fucking Wenger and his crew of clowns. This team is no where near good enough to do anything useful this season.

It's our team, we support them.

I know everyone is disappointed about transfers but that's the way it goes, let's just put all of our energy into cheering the players we do have at Arsenal, no one else believes in them so we might as well give them some backing.

It's Arsenal against the world now and the last thing the team needs is a bad atmosphere, it won't help matters.

Song was not a selfless "water-carrier" mate. Not on your nelly. Anything but, and I suspect that's the main reason he was sold.

Perhaps shouldn't have been as dismissive as that either. Sorry. Not very happy with anything Arsenal right now!

No worries mate. I though the official reason given for his sale was that he asked for a pay rise like Makelele and was refused. However you are right about pointing out the difference between Song and Makelele because if Song indeed had attitude problems, as the rumours suggest, then good riddance is all i can say and as has been previously mentioned, Wenger has been pretty dismissive of him since he has gone. Cazorla is a massive upgrade anyway

Ah Cazorla, now there's one good thing to come out of this transfer window. Had almost forgotten about the little fella in my gloom.

Yeah, Song was sold by Wenger for one reason or another, whether that was down to his attitude or because he felt he wasn't good enough, or both, we made the call. Just wish we'd have brought in another midfielder with the money.

Great, now Sky Sports News are saying Moutinho's transfer might still go through.

Fucking annoying.

Great Wilshere video Klaus. Thumbs up.

Shouldn't have sold Song: barring Sahin, all the mooted replacements weren't as good, and he is only on £70k/w at his new club. Bad business, based on emotion has left us short.

I'm glad to see the back of Bendtner and Park, two players who had become stains.

We didn't actually manage to sell any of Park, Chamakh, Bendtner, Arshavin, Squillaci or Denilson did we? They either got loaned out or are still here I think. Incredible.

A real indictment of the contract and wage policies of the past few years. Gazidis spend his first couple of years signing most of our player up to long term deals by overpaying for a lot of mediocre players. And now we can't sell any of them. Not even Bendtner could be sold.

Other clubs aren't as stupid as we think. 🙁

It's just the reality of football. The likes of City, United and Chelsea have pushed the wages through the roof in the last couple of years. You either follow suit or you'll lose all of the even remotely decent squad depth you've got. Roque Santa Cruz hasn't played a full game of football for City in over two years but he's still there because no one can afford to take him permanently. It was the same story with Adebayor. City still pay the better part of his salary just to get him off their books. A decade ago Winston Bogarde was ridiculed for pocketing wages at Chelsea. Today it's common practise.

On the subject of wages, Benayoun's on £92,000 a week at Chelsea! You can be sure they were paying some of that for us last season.

Three outstanding players moved into the Premier League this summer, at least we got one of them. We really should have done more though. I can't believe we didn't bring in another defensively minded midfielder after Song left.

Stupidly thought we must have had something in mind, Tone. Should have factored in Wenger's irrational love of Diaby.

So, we didn't sign anyone?

£92k a week @ Chelsea! WTF!

Crazy isn't it. West Ham gave up trying to loan him because of it, according to the Sky reporter, but Chelsea came back and said they'd pay a bigger percentage of Yossi's wages.

He might have been a free transfer I think, maybe that explains it?

Imagine if Cazorla picked up an injury against Liverpool. How screwed would we be? Its amazing how our season hinges on one player. Cazorla will be as important as RvP was for us this season.

Actually both Cazorla and Arteta are that important to us now and both have no real(quality) back-up.

We signed no-one. That counts as a signing.
