I think he's naturally a more central player, but considering his age he's still playing at a high level. I think people have been incredibly harsh on his form this season, which has been far from bad.

I have no doubt he'll be fantastic for Arsenal and England for years to come, and his relative youth means that this experience should help him. But I think he's been useless so far this season.

For the record, I never expected big things from him so soon. You see this inconsistency with most young players, only a few like Fabregas and Wilshere skip this stage altogether. Overall, AOC is well ahead of his age group. Which is good for him.

Of course it matters. Plenty of players are better from one side or the other.

There are wingers who are better as inside forward cutting in. Then there are also wingers who prefers to go to the byline like Lennon.

For the record, Robben is pretty shit on the left. Obvious there are 2 footed players like Hleb, Ribery, Ronaldo who are equally good on both flanks but that is a rarity.

He is the same as he always was, but the bottom line is it's always nicer to hear about how good your team is rather than how crap it is. There's a malaise across the whole club and it's almost impossible for fans, of which he is one, to come out with bullish, rallying calls because nobody believes in us. It's all very predictable. If Oxlade blows Gervinho out the water and becomes a star - so what? We're just going to sell him to Man City ASAP. That's how most of us are thinking now.

I must admit I rather liked Alfonso's post about being sure Olly olly olly Giroo and co. will do Bayern...it's been a long time since I've heard/read any gooner, in the real world or the interweb, be so optimistic about Arsenal.

there's only been like one arseblog in the past 5 yrs that's made me chuckle. not sure why i still read it, though i tend to just skim it these days. tbf, it must be tough trying to be entertaining and witty on a daily basis via blog.
