For the sake of full disclosure, Ox has only two assists for Arsenal coming off the bench in his career, Gervinho only one, and neither has ever scored for Arsenal off the bench. Ox as had 18 sub appearances for us, to Gervinho's 15, but the difference for me is that Ox's two assists both came this season, whereas Gervinho's was at the start of last season, and in the following 14 sub appearances he's made he hasn't done a thing.
Fair enough, all of these numbers are pretty small, and I did bring up 'margin for error' previously, but still, I'd prefer Ox - he's got an Arsenal future, is mentally probably more robust than Gervinho, and I just flat out like him more.
Of course, if we're talking about a striker, it's a different discussion, though I'd rather see Theo, Giroud or Podolski there before Gervinho. On the wing, both Ox & Gervinho are much closer to the team.
