I hate to say it, but take a bow Gareth Bale.

I remember back when Bale was being linked with us before his move away from Southampton that he was often described as lacking any real speed. What a load of bollocks 😃

I hope it's clear now why you can't have a right back willy nilly attacking like a madman when he wants and wide forwards devoid of defensive duty in the premiership. Obviously, not everyone has a player like Bale, but premiership wingers will expose it time and time again.

lulz. is there a faster winger out there?

There is a real chance Tottenham will top the group.

Lennon and Walcott are faster.

Bale was made to look like God tonight, i just don't think he is THAT good.

Bale will take most of the plaudits and quite rightly too but Tottenham's midfield were tireless and solid and they were good at the back as well.

Inter really missed Cambiasso and Motta tonight.

Indeed this is what I'm always saying, this attack attack attack philosophy regardless of the opposition is stupid and naive in the extreme.
You can't be strong everywhere all the time so theres a time to cede possession and sit back and regroup, and theres a time to bomb forward with a well aimed sucker punch.
Bale destroyed them but he was allowed the space to do so, no way is this the same team Mourinho had so well marshalled.

to be fair, Inter has been much much poorer this season than last.. Mourinho really had a system that worked for them (with largely the same lineup).. the Spanish Waiter doesnt really know what to do with them.. it doesnt surprise me that they lost at WHL.. Maicon, in particular, has been very poor this season.. dont really know what happened to him, but he's looked a shadow of himself so far.

Spuds can think highly of themselves for beating Inter (and rightly so, its a big night for them), but lets be realistic, they have shipped 8 goals in 4 games.. that's fine for the group stage, but that will get you bounced by the quarter finals..

Lost motivation because he didn't get his move to Madrid?

Bale was running past him like he wasn't there for the second game in a row; looked like a pub fullback.

oh, and how funny is it that Copenhagen could realistically qualify second from their group with Barca.. 1 more win against either Kazan (away, not likely) or Panathinaikos (home, more likely) and they will sew up second spot..

maybe so.. last 2 seasons, he looked like the best RB on the planet..

Fuck sake. I hate them. If they fluke it all the way and win the CL I'm going to emigrate.

I don't think we need fear that because they've managed one win against a half-arsed Inter side.

Saw Bale's goals just now. He made everyone else look like they were in slow motion, and delivered several perfect crosses. Bet he'll still be shit against us in the NLD 😉

Valdes' kick on N'Doye:

Puyol's attempt to convince the referee that the Copenhagen striker is faking it is hilarious. It's only when he realises that the guy is actually unconscious that he stops waving his imaginary card. Just when you think that you can't possibly dislike that wrinkled hippie any more than you already do he goes and proves you wrong.

Some handbags between the Copenhagen manager and Busquets.

That Valdes kick was violent.

😆

i'd blow my shit if some barca cunt laid his hands on wenger. seriously, who does he think he is? i just cant stand that team, i wish they'd play a team comprised of kevin davies, el hadj diouf, joey barton, ryan shawcross, nigel de jong, karl henry, heitinga, van bommel twice a week all season long, with no ref.

Yeah, I think people are starting to see past the Messi UNICEF "beautiful game" image that they've manufactured and realised that they're just a Spanish Chelsea.

Proved to be a good team but on paper their players and squad coupled with their finances, they should be one of the weakest teams competing. Furthermore Scandinavian teams never does well in UCL so its such a pleasant surprise.

Oh and Valdes kick is disgusting. So was Puyol actions. Cunts

Copenhagen is a very wealthy club. They might not have one of the stronger squads in Europe but their finances are in great shape. They wouldn't embarrass themselves in the Premier League with the current team.

klaus, to some people, there is no football outside of england, spain and maybe italy, germany and france.

What's up with you Kami

Anybody seen this?

Ronaldo play acting hilariously. Have to say Real is playing with an absolutely swagger that even Barca will fail to deal with.

Oh and Lloris having an absolute nightmare this matchday. Even fantastic keepers have off days

a month later

Man Utd currently a goal down, although i still think they will win it, they will finish 2nd if it finishes like this.

With even us finishing 2nd in all likelihood, it is going to be some draw in 2 weeks time.

Tottenham currently the toasts of Europe or atleast the BBC.

Jeez, never seen that Ronaldo video before. What an utter, utter cunt. Despicable. He even tries to get up and act the tough guy after doing that.! Disgusting.

He gets up like that because someone spat their chewing gum in his face; you can see it fall behind him as he stands up.

Didn't see that, but he's still a cunt, and he's still trying to act tough after throwing himself down like a little girl.

Just watched it again and he didn't even notice the chewing gum! It was Gattuso no doubt calling him a little tart that riled him. I bet Gattuso was terrified when Ronaldo stood up! Yeah right.

He's saying to baldhead aferwards that someone just spat gum in his face...

(I could be making this up)

Why do I get sucked in. You wind-up 😆

😆

In all seriousness, I don't know where that gum came from, could even be Ronaldo's.

Na, someone throws it at him from the crowd - or a good distance spit.

Shameful childish behavior.

They should have dropped a gob load of snot on him.

this is why people hate him.. wasnt even touched in the face..

very Rivaldo-esque to me.. no sportsmanship from him whatsoever. Gattuso would have absolutely pummeled him, probably called him a little fucking girl

Thought of Rivaldo too, mate. Disgraceful stuff, Ronaldo should be ashamed of himself.

Yeah, definitely made me think of Rivaldo as well. That classic shot of Rivaldo rolling around and then peaking through his fingers to check if he had convinced the referee was disgraceful.
