Because Clichy isn't from Planet of the Apes.
Bale is a winger anyway. If he played for us he'd be in Shavas spot.

Bale with another quality finish.
Hattrick!
Fantastic from him tonight.
'kin hell. that guy run his guts out.
You lads should see if the Make A Wish foundation can get him to me you.
Maybe they can give you a clue while they are at it.
I'm close to criticising Inter for showing Tottenham zero respect second half, but when you look at what happened in the first half, it's easily understandable. Cracking hatrick from Bale, one of those nights where you hit it and it goes in. Strange how they were all similar.
Inter are so damn slow and old. Would love us to get them in the knock-outs, but then they wouldn't play like that against us, so it's kind of void. Eto'o was outstanding from what I saw.
Never laugh at others' misfortune.
Hats off to Bale. He's exactly the sort of force we need on our left flank. The Spuds do not deserve Bale and vd Vaart
Inter stopped playing after 45 mins, just as AC did against Liverpool in that final. I still choose to mock twitchy and his boys for now
Redknapp: "If Tottenham progress and become a Champions League team on a regular basis"
Already preparing the way for their probable failure to make the top four methinks.
fuck off spurs
Fucking sp*rs really annoying me now...go back to being the laughing stock we all know.
There's another 45 minutes yet, anything's possible with Spurs. Inter have been very poor though. Their midfield has been non-existent.
Inter looks nothing like the team they did on their travels last year. Tottenham have focussed all energies on the Champions League, they are putting in a lot of work. I don't know how long they can sustain that level of energy for if they can they will hold on else it will be a draw or an Inter win.
Bale, Modric and Van Der Vaart are too good for Spurs and yet they rely on Crouch's height to make something of their high tempo approach play and passing.
Bale has done Maicon a couple of times tonight and left him for dead. Tottenham shouldn't make it to the next round.
Spurs are battering them.
Far too easy. Watching that Nwankwo just jog alongside Bale, did it remind you of anyone?
Their midfield has been non-existent all night.

They were rubbish in the group stages last year.
Also, Maicon's reputation has taken a massive battering tonight.
Maicon should head down to the police station and report Bale after tonight.
I hate to say it, but take a bow Gareth Bale.
I remember back when Bale was being linked with us before his move away from Southampton that he was often described as lacking any real speed. What a load of bollocks
I hope it's clear now why you can't have a right back willy nilly attacking like a madman when he wants and wide forwards devoid of defensive duty in the premiership. Obviously, not everyone has a player like Bale, but premiership wingers will expose it time and time again.
lulz. is there a faster winger out there?
There is a real chance Tottenham will top the group.
Lennon and Walcott are faster.
Bale was made to look like God tonight, i just don't think he is THAT good.
Bale will take most of the plaudits and quite rightly too but Tottenham's midfield were tireless and solid and they were good at the back as well.
Inter really missed Cambiasso and Motta tonight.

Indeed this is what I'm always saying, this attack attack attack philosophy regardless of the opposition is stupid and naive in the extreme.
You can't be strong everywhere all the time so theres a time to cede possession and sit back and regroup, and theres a time to bomb forward with a well aimed sucker punch.
Bale destroyed them but he was allowed the space to do so, no way is this the same team Mourinho had so well marshalled.
to be fair, Inter has been much much poorer this season than last.. Mourinho really had a system that worked for them (with largely the same lineup).. the Spanish Waiter doesnt really know what to do with them.. it doesnt surprise me that they lost at WHL.. Maicon, in particular, has been very poor this season.. dont really know what happened to him, but he's looked a shadow of himself so far.
Spuds can think highly of themselves for beating Inter (and rightly so, its a big night for them), but lets be realistic, they have shipped 8 goals in 4 games.. that's fine for the group stage, but that will get you bounced by the quarter finals..
Lost motivation because he didn't get his move to Madrid?
Bale was running past him like he wasn't there for the second game in a row; looked like a pub fullback.
oh, and how funny is it that Copenhagen could realistically qualify second from their group with Barca.. 1 more win against either Kazan (away, not likely) or Panathinaikos (home, more likely) and they will sew up second spot..

maybe so.. last 2 seasons, he looked like the best RB on the planet..
Fuck sake. I hate them. If they fluke it all the way and win the CL I'm going to emigrate.
I don't think we need fear that because they've managed one win against a half-arsed Inter side.
Saw Bale's goals just now. He made everyone else look like they were in slow motion, and delivered several perfect crosses. Bet he'll still be shit against us in the NLD
Valdes' kick on N'Doye:
Puyol's attempt to convince the referee that the Copenhagen striker is faking it is hilarious. It's only when he realises that the guy is actually unconscious that he stops waving his imaginary card. Just when you think that you can't possibly dislike that wrinkled hippie any more than you already do he goes and proves you wrong.
Some handbags between the Copenhagen manager and Busquets.
That Valdes kick was violent.
