Does Darren Dein represent players from other clubs? Seems like he's got himself a very cushy gig going on here.
Alex Song
Is Song the last player in the current squad who is represented by this agent?
I agree with Tim's assessment that our present predicaments are linked to a very poorly managed last summer.
I am atleast happy in a way that we are one of the few clubs around, that won't succumb to these overpaid, spoilt, arrogant rascals.
The problem is we need to reinvest the money from player sales which disappointly is unlikely. I don't think the overall sentiment would be so low if our club had a record of improving the squad after having sold these ingrates.

I second that. His behaviour when Henry returned, his clowning around in the videos and photos that go on Arsenal.com, being part of the clique with Adebayor a few years back, even his ridiculous haircut point to someone with a bit of an ego. There's no way of knowing if that leads to Wenger wanting him out the club, but like you said, it would hardly be shocking.

Nah, he represents others and, to be fair, if I was a professional player, I'd have him somewhere in my camp too.
Darren fucking dein should be banned from representing arsenal players, simple as. You have dein as your agent gtfo. He is actively looking to line his pocket with arsenal as the fall guy. On song he should just leave if he wants out, rather than drag it out, we could get a lot of options to replace him with.

It's interesting, isn't it? on one hand, just like captain says - you'd want him on your side, just as you'd like that cold blooded lawyer that gets results on your side, even if you secretly think he's a dog for running over people like a truck.
But on the other hand that cushy gig he's arranged for himself looks like it's on sudden death course, unless he tones it down somewhat.
Stuff like "ban him", which is not really possible, if heard too much (and it is already - this here is not the first suggestion I hear) is pretty risky. Clubs can find ways around it (my earlier suggestion was that it just may be that we actually are witnessing the first serious move to block him and his dark ways), managers will not be interested in players represented by him (it'll be like an injury record parallel category), and then players will want to avoid him.
In short, what seems like a winning formula could be a recipe for disaster, a self beating method. This is particularly risky as it's not done innocently: he has a special position, sort of in house privilege, which he is not only using, he is abusing in the worst way (remind you of le-grove Flynn talk a couple of days ago - "he's out for revenge". Against us).
Making enemies is not the best way to build yourself that cushy gig - not if you want to do it long term.
I'm left wondering how much of all this is true, and how much pure speculation.

You guys are ridiculous.
Wengers either getting rid of him cos he doesn't rate him on the pitch or he's getting rid of him cos he's narked off with him off it.
The last of the students and predecessors of the invincibles are all but gone. We can defiantly call this a new era.

Definitely the latter. A player who featured in the first team as much as Song did last season wouldn't be granted permission overnight to leave because he's not seen good enough. None of us really know whether he's a cocky player with a big ego, personally I don't think he's the type, although if he was and was seen as a distraction/disturbance or whatever, Frimpong would of been shown the door a long time ago.
Stand by it, not a fan of Song's attitude and never have been.
I guess you see a lot of Song's 'attitude' given that he plays nearly every minute of every match for us. Lazy, undisciplined prick with fancy hats that he is.
→ prick hair
→ obvious prick orange SUV
→ one of many hats that guarantee this man is a prick
It's a bit like you could tell what a decent bloke and a great leader Robin Van Persie was when he scored some goals last season.
Never said he was a prick, just think he's not a serious player. He's too casual, not intense enough or switched on enough for me, and that has always been the case. I'm not saying he's not a good player with some real strengths, but he also does things on the pitch that annoy me quite a lot. Sorry, there's no agenda, it's how I feel.
Also, would like to add, Song would make for a seriously good signing for Man City. The poorer parts of his game wouldn't be as exposed as they are in our more fluid, less disciplined midfield, and his strengths would really come to the fore. He'd be a top, top signing for them. Good but flawed player.
I'd hate to see him go tbf.
Let's get on with it tho.
@[deleted] I wasn't really having a crack at you, I was more reiterating Flob's point that what we see of players on the pitch and in official and unofficial photographs doesn't give us a clear picture of their character.
The perpetual raised eyebrows of the football fan discovering his idols and devils are flesh and blood.
News to be broken today (Friday over here) apparently.
