Liverpool have been using him incorrectly. When he has played in his favoured position, which has been about twice this season, he's been one of if not their best player.
I would definitely take him.

If Madrid are willing to sell in the summer for a reasonable fee I'd probably take him, but I don't think he'll solve our midfield issues.
He is an all action central midfielder. A very good one at that. He is good in advanced positions of the pitch and he is good close to his own goal. On top of that he is good in the space between those two areas. Mind blowing.
Also he's been out of form and injured for 18 months now.
And he's no more athletic than what we've already got.
