Still think he could do a job here but he rejected us for them so I don't think Wenger will go for him. Probably not all his fault as R.Madrid just wouldn't let him join here. Wouldn't be the first player Wenger sorted out after he had lost his way.

Will be interesting to see how quickly Klopp can get him back on form, especially given that the article says he was frozen out because he complained about how Liverpool were deploying him.

18 month loan deal done, great deal for Dortmund as their squad is a bit thin so should help them in that regards. Such a shame he didn't join us, think Wenger could of got the best out of him.

Would of been fantastic but Mourinho seemed hell bent on making sure he joined them. You could argue the player could of pushed harder but he probably doesn't want to burn his bridges in case he has to go back there.

the player himself wanted to go back there. no one else had a chance. good deal for dortmund, as no transfer fee involved in that long-term loan. will be interesting to see whether he gets in the side immediately.

i'm gonna be seeing them in march, so hopefully they're in full flight then.
