I'd rather M'Vila ahead of either. We have plenty of forwards and at least one top class right back. We don't have a single quality defensive midfielder.

We have midfielders who can play deeper in a type of holding role (Arteta, Coquelin and Sahin if we sign him) do you think M'vila is a marked improvement on any one of those options?

We also have Frimpong to come back.

At RB we have Jenkinson and Yennaris as back-up for Song
We have Chamakh and Park as back-up for Podolski and Giroud.

I look at that and for me the weakness is definitely in the RB and forward department not midfield.

Arteta did well in the screening role on saturday but Diaby was lacklustre in his defensive play. Sahin can/will do a better job there.

Although, if we are in for a forward, I would think it won't happen until we offload at least two of Bendtner, Arshavin and Park next week.

Reading reports that a permanent fee has been agreed. Not sure what that means. Loan with permanent deal at the end of season or buying him now. Hope its the latter

The Daily Mail said that agreeing on a £14m option to make the deal permanent was the sticking point.

I think that price would be pretty good, especially if it comes with an added plus of getting to wait a season to see if he works out before signing off.
