Read part of an interview with Sahin in Bild last week, and he gave the distinct impression he very much still sees himself as a Real Madrid player, that he was happy to spend a year away and come back to stake a claim.

Said he'd be happy to go Spurs as well!

Even if we manage to sign him on a permanent deal he's still young.

He'll end up back in Madrid by 28/27 if that's the case.

Seems to really love it there.

just get him in on a loan, no point thinking long term right now.. last 2 seasons have proven that. There are not many players of his calibre as an option around, he can do a job for us this season, if he performs and chooses to stay great, if not he can fuck off back to Madrid & we can find another solution

France radio[RMC] which reported giroud to arsenal, and podolski to arsenal say Nuri sahin to Arsenal is complete, and Mvila arsenal bound.

Sahin on loan without an option to buy will annoy the hell out of me, pretty sure Wenger will not agree to that. No wonder discussions took so long. We'd really be a fucking breeding ground, nurturing players so other clubs.

if a loan is the only way to get him, lets just do it. it gives us a quality option to fill in while wilshere gets fit. wouldnt be surprised if wenger took a punt on mvila too, the price tag is too tempting to pass up.

I don't think we'll settle for just a loan. If we cant agree a transfer, I hope we move for M'Vila. They're different players but we are missing his strengths in midfield. And with Tottenham out of the picture, we might be able to pick him up on the cheap.

Even if there is no buyout clause, if he likes it here and he doesnt want to go sit on the bench again, then we can still make an offer, either way this is a win win situation. And even if he goes back, by then wilshere will be ready.

I'd take Sahin on loan over a permanent deal for M'vila any time.
He's the better player - he would naturally suit the role that Song had been playing?
Knows when to track back, turns defense to attack and is extremely accurate with long passes from deep?

Think the thinking might be to play Nuri in the centre and but Cazorla on the wing? It'd be one option anyway.
From what I've seen already of Cazorla it looks like you could stick him in any of the three forward midfield positions and he'd create for fun.
He's brilliant.

Thats sounds good but we need to sign a DM though. Also think we need another striker/winger depending on how Podolski is utilized and with Song gone you could say we are another defender short.

We don't need to sign a dedicated defensive midfielder! If Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man United all can manage without one then so can we.

Did we look as if we needed a DM yesterday? I certainly didn't think so.
