Well, AFCamden reckons Sahin wasn't signed because the RVP deal was delayed by a day. Others now saying we're trying hard to hijack the Liverpool deal.

Personally, I reckon he's the only person (non-journo) on Twatter with any kind of 'ITK' knowledge. So may yet be a chance.

how would that influence the sahin deal? afcamden claims we had to sell one player before signing sahin; why?

Because we had 25 first team players that need to be registered. Someone needed to go before we bought again.

Hmm. Standards that include accessing the voicemail of people who've passed away.
Right.

Newspaper got closed down, no? People got fired? Reputations in the gutter?

It did because they got caught.
They weren't imposing any standards from on high in that publication.

I agree though that journalists in general are obliged to respect certain criteria when publishing a story and most do, to varying degrees.

i suspected that, but couldn't be arsed to count them all.

still, a bit weird we're willing to miss out on what is a class player, just because we have a lot of shit players still on the payroll.

I thought we could just chose to not register certain players?

so if pool have signed assaidi does that mean their not in for sahin

He's a winger, isn't he? If so, they could well be in for Sahin as well.

Reading between the lines, Sahin just has to choose where he wants to go, same as it was when the news first broke. No point going around in daily circles on this transfer.

He should come here. After all, his hero plays(well, sort of plays) for us. 😉

Right.

The only point I wanted to make was just that journalists from the main papers will get transfer stories from briefings or proper sources. Again, you can question their sources and the agendas of those sources, but they don't just write any old shit they feel like.

we should get him to put in a call.

You were right when you said that transfer speculation is not always empty rumour too.

If I said to you "Mercedes are building an engine with Toyota" and then the deal collapses half way through, I haven't lied, things just haven't gone well and I was too hasty in sharing that info; same principal applies to these guys except they are never 'too hasty' because everyone wants an exclusive.

Ok, I follow 🙂
By and large they do research and verify.

Not always empty rumour no.
But the vast majority of stories come to nothing.
Therefore it's reasonable to deduce that either they were not based on anything substantial or the story was over elaborated.

Anyway I get all my gossip on here or via the BBC gossip section or the DM.
No need clog up my twitter feed with Geoff and co 🙂

It depends a lot on the source too. The source of information need not be a club insider, and may even be many times removed from the origin of the information.

Someone on AM posted that Oliver Kay has deleted his tweets about Sahin to Liverpool.

I don't follow Kay, does anyone know if this is true?

Nothing on his account re: Sahin - but I don't know if there was anything there in the first place. Also don't know why he'd delete the tweets.
