I do think we need another striker/forward if RVP goes, but maybe someone with different characteristics to what we already have. Llorente and Giroud are quite similar. That said, he's a good player and I wouldn't be complaining if we got him.

I don't think they are all that similar barring their size. Admittedly, I have seen more of llorente than Giroud and am not an avid viewer of either player.

He's running into the last years of his contract which he says won't be renewed as he wants the 'option of playing in other leagues'. Can't see us getting him, although another striker would give us a lot more options, especially out wide.

From what I've seen of them they do seem rather similar in playing style. If we buy another forward I'd like it to be someone a bit more versatile. Giroud and Llorente both would have to play center forward.

How can 'they' on the one hand think Spurs have signed him, and on the other hand Spurs are put off by his buyout clause? That makes very little sense, even as far as transfer rumors go.
