He is in demand. City are keen on him once they move Dzeko and supposedly missing out on RvP. Juve too for the same reason. Utd and us too see him as RvP deal backup. Plus I now hear Chelsea are in fray too due to fear of Hulk deal being too costly and difficult to conclude. Spurs as usual wish they had a chance.

For the record I think he is a class player. Think we just might see him at City next year. Poor Dzeko!!

That would be ideal. But anything over 20 mill and i'd be tempted to sell RvP. with Podolski/Giroud/Chamakh and Gerv i think we can do without a new striker and i'd rather reinforce our defense first. A quality CB and Sahin/M'villa would be great.

It does not say we bid for him.
It says we're resigned to losing Van Persie and will use the money we get for selling him on Llorente
So far only Juve are reported to have bid.

Maybe not quite Van Persie but Llorente is no dud 🙂

10 of the 17 goals Llorente scored in La Liga last season were headers and he scored with 27 % of his shots.

I went off him a little after his showing in the Europe League and Copa del Rey finals but of the players realistically available to replace Van Persie I do think he's the best.

I don't think Llorente is all that to be honest, but will certainly score goals for us which I'll happily take.

Why are getting Llorente, I don't see the purpose of him when we got Olivier Giroud who his fairly similar to him. If we are going to get another central forward we should get Stevan Jovetić plus his hair is awesome.

We probably could do better than Llorente.
He's the more obvious of the choices I suppose.
His contract situation would probably mean that we'd be interested in terms of a bargaining position.
Jovetic would be the dream but I don't think Fioretina are going to part with him just yet and they'd probably be holding out for more money.

not sure jovetic would be the dream, but he is good - a lil too inconsistent at the moment in time, but if you're judging him purely on youtube clips then wahaaay! double thumbs up.

Really not sure why everyone is so excited about this guy. I've only seen him a few times in full games, but he never stood out or was ever really involved in play. Seems like mostly a cherry picker to me.
