Wenger was heavily criticized for not spending £15 Million in Januray 2010, looks clever now doesn't he and i am not saying we didn't need a striker then.
Chamakh and Squillaci are on wages their reputation and experience deserved. No one complained when we signed Squillaci - experienced defender for 4th choice, isn't that what everyone wanted?
We aren't strugging to sell Chamakh and Squillaci because their wages are high but because they will obviously move on to lesser clubs. Contracts aren't adjusted retrospectively basis performance, they are on what was agreed when they first came and if Chamakh is on the reported £45,000 a week then that really isn't that much for a striker that came off a fantastic season in Lique 1 and the Champions League to a club that needed someone of his experience and attributes.
Denilson, Bendtner and Diaby though are a different discussion but there is no need to crucify Wenger for anything and everything.
