With all the hype around the contract, it's the Theo Walcott show right now. And people will keep pointing to his recent goalscoring record to show that him being selfish is a good thing. But this way the goals will soon dry up for the team. Players will start to lose (more) trust with eachother and we'll be relying on individual pot shots.

Apparently we need goal hungry, selfish players.

I just can't get over the fact that we suddenly start playig Walcott up front when he's at the end of his contract and doesn't want to extend it, pathetic.

It almost seems like that he's a player who will only play well when given the great service and the middle three behind having good games going forward whereas he's close to being useless in other cases as he has no body strength and can't fight for the ball just like the likes of Giroud do and even he is so fucking limited. We look like a bunch of girls when it's not going our way and have nobody out there who would give it a proper fight. So wrong.

That's because the gaffer hasn't a plan. Have we had a single complete performance this season against a decent club? I hope this Walcott saga ends soon one way or another. I'm indifferent about outcome, but not the timing of said outcome.

Theo's new found selfish, shoot on sight approach doesn't look natural to me at all. Either he's been told that's the way he has to play or he's convinced himself that's what he's got to do.

It's a tricky one because it's also related to him either trying to prove a point and/or more hunger/determination on his part. I just hope once he signs (if he does), that he will keep up this drive while not just try to shoot on sight. It's a tough balance though. Hope he does not go back to a dopey happy-go-lucky sort of attitude. If not, he truly will have turned a corner mentally.

If he reverts to type after signing this new deal it would be just typical.

Not 100% convinced that he's turned a corner. I can't forgive how he messed up that pass to Cazorla in our counter attack against Newcastle. Easiest pass in the world, all he had to do was sidefoot it in front of Caz, what he actually did was borderline pathetic.

Becoming a selfish git as well. Always shooting instead of looking for the pass, could have played in Podolski once during the Newcastle game as Pod was free as a bird on the left side of the box but he went for the impossible shot.

^He will guarantee you goals. He won't be Henry but you won't have it worry about him doing a Chamakh or something. He's a good finisher and he has a lot of pace - that is not going to change.

Nothing looks natural with theo, he's a quick learner which is why his game is based on copying other players, thats why many arent convinced even after he has scored 14 goals in 21 games. Its one of his biggest weaknesses or strengths depending on how you look at it.
