This is it. Not giving him the £100k is going to cost us more than giving it to him because we'll lose him on a free and have to spend £10-15m plus wages to replace him. If we paid him the £100k for 2-3 years we could then sell him for £15-20m.
In my opinion the club needs to take into consideration the commercial and branding value of Theo being on the team.
Not sure how many, if any, Arsenal players have more jerseys sold, or have such a large influence on revenue from TVs/commercials.
