I didn't say we have money problems. We make what we make and we use what we have and it's enough to get us to 3rd/4th in the league and the last 8/16 in the CL.
I said Wenger is not responsible for transfer or contract negotiations. And we know that the board are more than willing to make unilateral decisions (i.e without involving Wenger) by telling players to get stuffed if they ask for too much money. It's documented.
We can bemoan individual decisions and strategies, and maybe Wenger has made too many errors of judgement in the last few seasons. I can fully understand anyone that wants to hand the reins over to somebody else, but we're essentially asking any new manager to squeeze a fraction more juice out of an already well squeezed lemon. We're just not set up to be competing with the likes of Chelsea, Utd, City, Barcelona, Bayern etc. and we wont be until Kroenke goes or changes the way the club is run.
