He won't complain about playing on the wing, or if you make him a deep-lying-false No. 3, a GK, or a zookeeper - he'll still be banging them in, no injuries, no nothing. Theo, Leo, no biggy.

I think i was the first one to call Theo to UTD. Somehow it all added up even way back at August/September. In a way i am kinda surprised that AFC find themselves in this situation. That makes me suspect there are yet more twists in the Theo saga.

The latest of many, nothing more, and hardly the biggest of the lot. I think he'll end up at Liverpool anyway.

I think Liverpool is more likely too. Out of all the English clubs that could afford his wage demands Liverpool seems the only place where Walcott looks even remotely likely to get a shot through the middle. I don't think this whole saga is JUST about the moolah, I genuinely think Theo wants assurances of playing through the middle.
I have to say, the prospect of Suarez and Walcott at CF behind Gerrard, Allen and Sahin sounds pretty depressing. Plenty of goals and assists in that lot. 🙁

Suarez, Walcott & Sterling is as a good a front three as any outside of City, Chelsea & Utd. Certainly a shit load better than what we'll be left with anyway.

13 goals at age 21, 11 goals at age 22 and 7 goals so far this season. That is a GREAT return for a wide forward, and then we are not even taking his assists into consideration.

Having Theo in the team of course means you have to balance the team somewhat differently than with a Mata or Nasri in his position, but it really isn't that difficult.

Good post, agree. We have to keep Theo. He's finally getting there.

Main reason I'd want to keep him is that his finishing has improved significantly this season. You can't buy that with the money were willing to spend.

He turned them down in the summer(Zenit). Apparently he refused to pick up his phone when they tried to contact him.

Still no wiser as to what's going on with Theo, but from the outside it seems the management of the whole situation is inexplicably dumb and counter productive.

I hope he leaves. As far as football is concerned, it wouldn't be a devastating loss, but his profile might just be enough to end Wenger's campaign to decapitate our beloved Arsenal.
