1 season in the Champions League is not a platform to build from.
CL 2013
14 consecutive seasons in the CL hasn't done us much good!
Spurs will draw either Udinese, Lille, Malaga, Moechengladbach or Spartak Moscow.
Can't see much for them
I´d have Spuds as favorites against most opponents they could draw - with the squad they currently have. With a bit of luck Modric and Bale may force their way out, and Adebayor is sold somewhere else.

They've already played one season. They've made the top 4 in Premier League for two of the past three years, having previously never finished better than 5th.
Tottenham aint building a team capable of challenging for anything, so I'm not sure what you're worried about klausie. They scrape 4th, have a season or so of CL, Modric and Bale still want to leave, arsenal, Chelsea, city and utd still have loads more money than they do.
Yep. No CL next season and they will have to slash their wage budget. Bye bye Modric and bye bye Bale. No way they can keep Adebayor either, which isn´t a given even if they make the CL.
They already need to sign at least another CB because of King, Dawson and Gallas, and with Bale and Modric replaced by lesser players they will be finished as a real top 4 contender.
Chelsea will spend regardless, and they will surely come back stronger next season.
I do wonder about people who'll be cheering for Chelsea in the CL final.
No one will cheer I guess, but I won´t be THAT disappointed if they win it. As I said, ideally Bayern win it and Spuds are knocked out in the qualifier.
I really do think though that if Spuds don´t qualify this time, then they won´t pose a serious threat to us again for some time. Chelsea will be there regardless, but I can really live without Spuds being a serious competitor to us.
No one will be cheering for Chelsea.
I don't want spurs in the champions league. As klaus says they will fall apart.
As soon as bale goes that's their fear factor gone

I´m sure there will be some Chelsea fans who will cheer.
When I learned that Terry was allowed to lift the cup if they won it I was appalled and repulsed like all right thinking people- Under no circumstances must this take place!
Just to see the dissapointment on the faces of the scum would be great, and with chelsea coming back i doubt spuds would get into the top 4 next season. I guess its about which team is our main rivals, if its spuds then our expectations have become very low, and if its chelsea then we are still an ambitious club.

according to wilshere all gooners will be cheering for those twunts.

That has zero to do with it. :hmm:
Its about not wanting Chelsea to win their first every European Cup. That means a hell of alot more than Spurs qualifying for the CL.
Okay I've decided that I'm now with Wilshere and I want those twunts to win because I swear it must be some kind of curse on London for them to not have a European Cup. Liverpool 5, London 0. Manchester 3 London 0. Nottingham 2 London 0. Birmingham 1 London 0. This must end.
If Chelsea can break the hoodoo then there is hope for Arsenal to fluke it one day as well. Hopefully next year at Wembley (although knowing Chelsea, they'll do it at their 2nd home and become the first to go back to back in the CL).
fuck life really.
Well Nicholas the psychic llama predicted a Chelsea win.
Yes, I know this is very stupid

Who cares about Spurs in the Champions league, they won't get anywhere near winning it.
As Wenger said being 4th does not mean you're in the CL because you still have to play a qualifier.
I'm all for Chelsea heartbreak on Saturday and Spurs heartbreak in August.
Wenger says a lot of things, most of them are bullshit.
