imo, he's not a CM. not a winger, either. he can play in any of the 3 in a 4231, behind the striker, or as a tucked-in wideman like pires, ljungberg, nasri, rosicky, etc. good technique, combines well, composed finisher, good movement off the ball, understands the game.
imo, he's not a superstar when it comes to pace, technique and finishing, but he's a very good, well-rounded player, sort of like nasri/ljungberg in terms of physical attributes.
