It's a strange one because I can see him having a better 2-3 seasons at Arsenal, but obviously ManU are the more appealing club overall.

For a Japanese, London's a much better city to live in.
Arsenal play the kind of football that suits him too, which is important enough to most players. At United he'll either be used as a second striker (which is unlikely since I can't see Ferguson dropping Welbeck) or get converted into a central midfielder or even a winger.
Maybe ryo can have a word with him, tell him he will win trophies and titles here.
