What is that you guys can't move on your iphone screens? I keep only about 6 essential apps on my first screen and everything else is grouped on subsequent screens.

I like S3 screens, although the phone is too big. More than anything, I'm wedded to Apple because I download a lot of stuff from them on the fly and now have hundreds of songs, movies etc from them. Apple would really have to mess up their offering for me to move.

iTunes lockin is a good reason to steer clear of Apple, in my opinion.

My girlfriend's an Apple user. She recently downloaded a few eps of a TV show she likes via iTunes, and was shocked to discover HDCP prevented her from playing the show from her Mac laptop onto my big screen.

I understand why HDCP exists, but it's still pretty damn problematic to be paying money for decent quality video and then to be unable to watch it on a proper screen - when the alternative is pirating the whole thing in an hour.

I just like the convenience of being able to come to office, turn the store on, download, and then jump into a plane etc and watch a movie on ipad. I used to P2P a lot in the US, but in South Africa, the residential networks are slow and/or super expensive so I ride on the office network with iTunes like all the IT boys. The other convenience is it means I don't need my laptop. I can just take the iPad and download whatever I own anywhere I am.

I'm not worried about the DRAM stuff. The consumers will win in the end, and I haven't been inconvenienced yet.

Android isn't buggy anymore and very fluid, Jellybean is a god send in that regard.

Yep, I literally hasn't had an app crashing on me for years. There is actually proof that apps on IOS crash a lot more...

Don't really get the plane thing either. On google music you can upload up to 20000 songs from your computer for free. More of course if you pay a bit. You can get to that offline as well. For me that means I don't really need to have any music stored on my phone. Don't know what the deal is with movies since I hardly ever watch movies via my phone.
The point is, if you have an Android tablet you'd, once again, get everything Apple has to offer and then some.

Claude, if you had Android devices you wouldn't even have to download whatever to your tablet. You could download it on any of your devices and still have access to it on all of your devices. Automatically, via the superior sync system.

Not sure what the superior sync system is, but what you are describing sounds similar to Apple. As long as I have bought it or uploaded it to the cloud drive, I should be able to download it onto any device anytime.

I'm not too bothered about platforms right now. From what I've seen, both Android and iOS are remarkable systems which get the job done. I use a Blackberry for work, and can assure you that Android and iOS are just much better user experiences.

Blackberry is bloody awful. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it as of now till BB10 is stable. It lags so frequently and has very little apps to play with.

I like the Windows Interface, but the lack of apps and free apps is a big problem.

Love my HTC One X. I'd only consider the Nexus 4 or the HTC Droid instead of it.

A friend has the new Nexus, really likes it, probably the best valued phone out there if you can live with 8/16GB of storage

I have a 16GB phone. It doesnt have the plastic feel you have with the samsung galaxy nexus. Its glass. I will post some pics once I get home. I dont store any pics or music on my phone. So, I can live with the 16 gig.

It depends. If its the App's you are going to have on your phone, you shouldn't worry about the disk space. Most apps are less that 5 MB. Apps like face book, Flixter, gmail, youtube occupy more than 10 but less than 20MB. Certain games might take more than that but I dont think you would be using more than 3-5 GB for apps.
