That's a shame. I was in Toronto during the Occupy movement over there, and it was surprisingly well maintained and active, until the local government passively forced the movement off the park (which was in a rather centralized location).

You know... Like in marriage 🙂.

Calgary seemed a lot like Perth - run off the teat of the resource industry and reflexively hating anything left of a white picket fence and a cowboy hat. The local papers were extremely scathing and the Occupy group themselves consisted of 2-3 noble hippies freezing their arses off.
