I'd say there's no doubt about it. Spurs won't pay up because they're staring into a big black whole financially after their (embarrassing) failure to finish third, and no club with the money wants to spend it on him.
Jan Vertonghen
If he keeps his mouth shut and stays patient, he'll move to a big club at the end of summer.
Personally, I think he actually wants to sign for tottenham.
Seems like it doesn't it, I think he is trying to push this move a bit too hard and technically speaking the transfer window hasn't even opened yet!
Ricky Spurs will probably offload Modric/Bale over the summer so should free up some cash for them. Also Defoe rumoured to be leaving as well so I think they will look to use that money to improve their squad.
If they do lose Bale and Modric, they're in huge trouble regardless. Even with that money in their pocket, I doubt they'll spunk £10m on Vertonghen without thinking very, very carefully about it. They'd have their two best players to replace for a start.

There are a load of clubs he'd want to sign for more though, but right now they don't want him. That could change in another couple of months if the big clubs miss out on their top targets, but Thursdays with Spurs are as good as it gets for him right now.
You know that for a fact?
Of course not, just offering an opinion.
What is certain though, is that he has talked about Arsenal as his "dream" club, the one he'd join before nearly all others. And he's talked about Milan in similar terms. But no bids have been forthcoming, even though he's a available at a pretty good price. I'm surprised he hasn't spoke about United, City, Barcelona, Madrid, but I think even he gets that there's no chance of that happening.
You got quotes?
Who cares?
CB is the least of our worries IMO.
I´d rather take Bosingwa on a free on decent wages as back up RB than paying a highish transfer fee for this guy. Suits our needs better. And I don´t even rate Bosingwa that much!
Personally, I'm only looking forward to one particular signing. But that's not really what we are talking about.
Kagawa?
Indeed.

Where he says he loves Arsenal and they are his priority? Or the quotes about Milan two weeks ago? The first you've heard of them?
Anything. Provide them if you have them.
He said a week or so back that if Milan come calling you can't say no.
Best I can find of the Arsenal quotes is this:
You don't think Vertonghen would jump at the chance of going to a Champions League club?
Not all that convincing. I think he'll go where he wants to go; he can stay at Ajax and play champions league football so it's not a big deal.
He wants a move to a big club. He may have to wait a year if that is his plan.
Signed for spurs according to sky sports yellow ticker
Tho jan has said its not complete on twitter
Don't think we were ever interested in him, or will be interested in any other CB, this summer.
astute signing by spurs. they needed him more than we did
