Alright fellas, it's been a good run but I'm clearing myself from all my online vices. It's been a wonderful journey from the early days being enthralled by Bergkamp, watching Cesc come true, and on through the banter years.
Many a great memory that I was reminiscing on, but I find myself gravitating back to the 2015 FA Cup Final in particular. It was the byproduct, an elixir if you may, of so many currents coming to rest.
With the 2014 FA Cup final I only felt dread of losing another meaningful game. But by 2015, we were transitioning out of a dogmatic belief in Wenger through the lean years and actually benefiting from some realizations of the financial powers a top club should have. No longer did we have to look solely to Per, Koscielny, and Ramsey to pull us through a match, many times something they couldn't.
Ozil and Sanchez had brought the champagne back, and Cazorla/Couqelin (and even Theo on that day) demonstrated our resourcefulness, and against Aston Villa all of them were exquisite. I distinctly remember screaming "shoot" in the pub as Sanchez looked up 30 yards from goal, knowing well that he had that in him.
Thanks for the memories and laughs.
