How liberating that feeling must have been then.
Facing a 19 year old Rosicky.
Sparta vs Arsenal 2000/2001.
We were a lovely team. Very skillful and yet very practical and physical.
A team of men. Most hovering around 6' plus.
What happened?
Some posters said they did not recall Freddie's red hair. Here's a sample. We had no right to win that game, what with the early red card.
Errr... Who exactly did not remember Red Fred? Out yourselves!

No one. Everyone remembers red head fred. What I didn't remember is pink fred.
He had that hair briefly in 2003 I think, the season after he donned the red mohawk.
Maybe it's age getting to me but I honestly can't remember that. Even the picture from the other page surprised me.
Love the team goals! "I'd rather not".  😆

What a goal. What a player.
Best midfielder the Premiership has ever seen.
Goalie was rolling around on the ground like a good dog
Today's win brought back memories to this cracker from our double winning season.
You'd have thought with the players we have at our disposal beautiful football is a given, but boy have I missed us playing like this.
That's one of my favorite Arsenal goals. I reference it often when discussing Walcott/Sagna....what an asset Theo was for RVP that year.
Watching that makes me think Wilshere is 27 now, he should have been a brilliant commanding midfielder now, he should be doing what Xhaka and Ozil are failing to do. Such a pity he didn't have the head for it all.
