I don't get where you're going with that plan Squallkid.
We do not even have to think about the FA Cup until after Christmas and CL should not be our main priority prior to that.
The PL is the most important, should be our number one goal.
I don't mean right away, I'm talking about in March/April where fixture congestion kicks in.
As an example, if we make it to the CL semi-finals, we have a home game against Man Utd inbetween them and let's imagine we're in the title hunt.
Where would you rather play a full 11?
For me it would be the Champions League because once you're out of it then that's it really.
We could get away with a weakened team in the league as long as our competitors fuck up, if we get a draw against Man Utd and Man City lose then we're good.
But if we play our first team against them, draw anyway and as a result all of our players are tired and we get knocked out of Europe, what's the point in that.
There's no guarantee if we win our games in the league that we'll be champions because we need the teams around us to lose their games where if we win all of our games in Europe then we're champions.
tl: dr I think we have a better chance in the Fa Cup and Europe than we do in the league and we shouldn't go out of those two competitions by playing weakened teams because it's a knockout game whereas you can get by in the league.
