Truth is the main reason why most are excited about the Cazorla signing is the fact tht he's a part of this golden generation of Spanish players, and an extremely unimportant part for that matter. He obviously doesn't have what it takes to break into the national team (which is no great criticism of him, as they are stacked in his area of specialty). Only used as a bit part player for Spain at the Euros, and was considered dispensable by Villareal compared to Rossi and Nilmar. He has had one decent season in La Liga (his best till date), where he could only rack up 9 goals, and 5 assists. Decent, but Nothing spectacular. He wasn't exactly no 1 on anyone's wishlist at the beginning of the summer.
Only positive is that he is a mature, experienced, professional from a decent league. And probably will be a more reliable midfield / wing option than Rosicky or Ramsey or Diaby whilst we await Jack's return, which is good enough for me.
