The fact that he's only had one top season is irrelevant in refuting my point. If he wants to win something he needs to leave. Of course if he joins a Manc club, I'll be very disappointed but I don't blame him for wanting to win something before he retires as that's just ambition, something we don't have.

Point is, he behaved like a cunt. He broke the silent agreement by posting that shit on his web to force a move. He now refuse to go to Asia. Our club has stood by him for so many years when he is injured, Wenger kept faith in him, made him the player he is. He wasn't even a proper striker in the past till Wenger made him this good. He just had to act like a cunt and repay it with such disfavour to us.

Wouldn't have mind him keeping his mouth shut and let us deal with his transfer out of the club rather than forcing it like this, making us get such small bids.

Fair enough him wanting to leave but the fact is that he's on a contract and has to behave as such. We own his sorry behind, ambition or no ambition.

He's been a part of the problem as much as anyone for 6 out of the past 7 years, he - more than Fabregas or Nasri - cannot disassociate himself from all responsibility and go on fucking strike! No one's seriously blamed him for wanting to leave either - not on this forum anyway. I think most people expected it when he hadn't signed a contract by March, the outrage is fueled by the way he's gone about it.

After seven games we had lost four and we have learned that for us it is vital for us to focus on the start of the season rather than on any transfers.

“If the transfers happen, they happen. As long as you are at the Club you give your best for the Club and that is the only pride you can have as a football player and as a manager"

Some people definitely feel he's morally obligated to stay. As with every job you look out for number one and it's no different in football.

So Van Persie didn't really refuse to go on tour. He was told to stay behind with other players who came late from the euros.

This is what I was talking about yesterday. Who on earth can hold a grudge against Arshavin for only wanting to leave this summer if he is offered a top salary? No nonsense about being a fan, loves the club etc. Just an honest assessment of his situation.

We have become a massive joke in the transfer market, after losing Cesc for 29m we are set to lose RvP for less than 15m.
I don't know who's to blame but we as a club need to handle negotiations a bit differently if we want to keep our players or sell them for a respectable fee.
