Much as I'm already disappointed with him, I'll be absolutely furious if he goes to Utd. He'll be completely erased from my memory in such a case. He can save himself only if he plays outside of England, But I can't see the club caring too much (and accepting a lower Juve bid). So I guess he''ll play the 4 games till injury for city.

About the dutch thing, Seedorf is a good shout, but even "decent" Seedorf is not exactly a model of a one club player. There is something very cold and business-like in their approach. That is definitely a climate/norm type of thing. There really is only one DB.

Buffon is Juve's highest paid player and he's only on 5.5million a year. They would have to upset alot of big names if they want to sign Van Persie.

I don't know... not sure where the absolute conviction that we will not sell to United comes from.
I have my doubts.
Comparing the situation to the Nasri one misses the point that ultimately Nasri just wanted the ginormous wage that City were offering.
Don't trust Van Persie in this situation at all.
He's made it clear that he will force the move that he wants - first with his statement now with his refusal to travel - and from what I've been hearing he does not want to go to City or Juventus.

Going to take some kind of wonder signing for us to make up for this.

I don't want him to go to any of the Manc clubs, but certainly not City. We don't need to enhance the image of us being their feeder club.
THE most important thing though, is that if RVP is sold he needs to be properly replaced. If he is properly replaced, then I could live with him going to either of the Manc clubs I think.

I've said before that the more I think about it the more okay I am about it.
Obviously if he's sold to Utd that will start a drama of operatic proportions, in terms of our hatred for him and club management who agreed to it.

But as I say it doesn't really matter-
That will provide entertainment for us.
He's only 1 year remaining, so we have to sell him as he will walk free regardless.
He's had 1 good season in 8 here in some very average sides, is he that great anyway?
He's 29 and with a very bad injury record, he's almost certainly well overdue another possible career ending one.

So things are not so bad.......

That 'internet guy' is absolutely spot on. Had RVP, or anyone else, just been honest - then there would only be a fraction of the hostility from the fans. Had RVP said something like;

"Look guys. I am given the opportunity to earn a shit load of money at Man City. This is most likely my last big contract, and I feel I need to make the decision that is best for me, my wife and my kids in the long run. On top of that I am probably more likely to win something there. I have enjoyed my years at Arsenal, but I feel this is an opportunity too good to pass up on".

He says something honest like that, and I think most fans would find it quite easy to forgive, forget and move on. This whole pretending-to-be-a-fan thing is just an angle that will NEVER work under these circumstances. Not one of us would join another club for money, especially since he is already loaded.
