Rooney always has to be ahead of him in any vote for POTY but, to be honest, England is in a sorry state. There aren't that many players who have been healthy who are better than him. Lampard and the rat Cole are options, Wilshere and Gerrard have been injured, but it's bleak after that. England need Oxlade, Wilshere, Cleverly and Sturridge to develop sharpish.
