Where you hear that?
Hopefully he's looknig a bit harder than he did for a CB in January.
Was just on John Cross' twitter. Assume he was at todays conference.
Absolute sickener.
That's upsetting news about Szczesny.
Increases the chances of being stuck with the dreaded and truly awful combination of Al, Kos and Squillaci.
Big wallop to our chances any time they line up together.
I'm guessing this is common knowledge by now?
It also emerged yesterday that defender Thomas Vermaelen, who's been out since September, could now miss the rest of the season. The Belgian centre-half, who underwent surgery to try to solve an Achilles problem, said: "I don't know when I will be able to play again. No date has been set for my comeback - but it will not be in March."

From The Mirror
It's been a given for ages.
As in it was obvious, or the quote has been around for ages? It's the first I've heard of it.
The former.
God hates us.
It's just so infuriating.
Wenger was asked a direct question today about the fitness of Vermaelen and he dodged it.
It's been the rumour since about October now.
He said he had someone clear in mind for an emergency loan. It has to be Jens.
Bob Wilson's been in training for a charity walk/run around the country!
The return of David Seaman
Alternatively, we would have been sorted if we had just signed Jagielka.
Has Vermaelen's career ended anyone reckon?
Hope not mate. Really doubt it, but if it were to happen it'd be a big shame for the guy. But like I said I really doubt it.
If he's just talking longer to recover from the procedure than expected then I wouldn't be too worried yet. If the procedure didn't work and their back to not knowing what the problem is, then I'd be very worried.

Told you.
As soon as i saw this on twitter, I immediately thought of you mate:
@johncrossmirror As they've got a few out they can ask for emergency loan but they've room in squad for free agent and don't need to ask
