The optimist in me would say it sounds like we're looking top quality player, but then I think Wenger considers all his signings top quality so really there isn't anything to get from that. Doesn't sound like we're close to anything.

Spurs are signing Dembele, Moutinho, Lloris and Remy. QPR is signing Carvalho, Cesar, Granero and Mbia. We are signing none as of now.

Rumours are generally few and far between in the last week of the window and that is true for clubs across Europe, doesn't mean clubs aren't in touch. I can believe Wenger that we are working very hard, whether that will result in something good, we will only know tomorrow.

Right, so if there's a top top top player down on his luck and still trapped at a club desperate enough for money that they will accept our last minute lowball offer, then we're going to sign that super quality player.

Probably around 10.59 tomorrow provided the fax machines are working and that player can convince his club that he has to go.

We could get lucky yet, but it is down to luck at this stage.

Depends on the 3 players. A Henry, Vieira and Pires would make us better than City.

Infact, even one of them would close the gap considerably. Which is why I'd prefer another Cazorla quality signing rather than 2 or 3 players like Tiote.
