Remy isn't happening, Vilas Boas ruled it out earlier. Also said they wouldn't be signing Moutinho because he was far too expensive. He as good as ruled out Willian for the same reason. Lloris has to choose between Lyon and Spurs, sounded like a fee has been agreed. So that could happen.

Our situation is incredibly frustrating, but Spurs have had a bad summer, too. Don't rate anyone they've brought in or look like bringing in all that much. Bad news for them as well with Kaboul going down for 3 to 4 months. Along with King's retirement, that's two important centrebacks they're down on last season, and I don't like/rate Vertonghen.

Chance for us to pull further away from them and their kind this season, but we seem content to sit where we are (pisses me off just typing that).

It's going to be a struggle for them, unless something very unexpected happens before tomorrow night.

Perisic is a decent player. His biggest plus is his versatility: when he was at Brugge I've seen him play on both wings, as a second striker and up front. He looked capable anywhere. He would make a good squad player, I rate him higher then say Dempsey who is a comparable player. More technical and a better passer but probably not as strong mentally.

I'm surprised that anyone is surprised that it ends like this

He will not buy special players unless he can get them at a knock down price.
That means catching them when they're not wanted by buying clubs willing to pay nose bleed sums, as well as when the selling club is in a disadvantaged position.

In every single way Cazorla was his dream signing.
Don't expect the equivalent unless that set of perfect circumstances presents itself again.

What we really need is for Madrid to be on the brink of financial extinction.

Still not ruling out some last day twist - good, bad or indifferent.
An Arteta, a Silvestre/Squllaci or a Benayoun
Where would Perisic rate on that scale?

Does look like him to me as well. Perhaps that's him and his agent discussing things after meeting with us at Colney? Maybe even after a medical? If it weren't for the water bottle, no one would have clocked it.

Is Perisic a "top, top, top payer"? Not seen that in him myself. Only basing that on a few Dortmund games and the Euros mind.

I can feel the anger and frustration growing in me like last year.
