Would like to know how the Bundesliga fares in comparison to the Premier League in terms of physicality? Does seem that way. Would be surprised if Podolski was able to compete any better than Robin does against the average centreback in this League.

Several rumours (google it!) in the last couple of days suggest that we're interested in Sessegnon. Personally I think the bloke's a terrific footballer who's way too good for Sunderland. Swap deal for Bendtner perhaps? The player himself has said that he'd like to stay in Tyne and Wear but it sounds like diplomacy more than anything else. He'd be a very useful squaddie.

He's a good footballer, but I wouldn't want him here. Not good enough or creative enough to play the role he'd need to play here - which is off of Robin.

He's better than Rosicky in an attacking midfield role. The only one we have who's for certain more creative is Jack, and who knows where and when he'll play next season.

Not sure where they're emanating from, but there are rumours around that we've agreed a deal to sign Ibrahim Afellay from Barcelona.

There are strong rumours we are signing Hernanes though, twitter that is. Not as credible obviously as Mvila

Talk of interest in Dempsey, wouldnt be dissappointed in that as he's improved immensley. Watching him in general play he has so much more to his game than previous seasons. Would be a decent squad option.

i gotta give them credit for savvy rumor mongering because the names are outside the superstar category and every single one would improve us significantly.

The Hernanes rumour started because one of the bloggers, Le Grove, said we're in for an even more exciting signing than M'Vila; a creative midfielder. Somehow people took from that he was talking about a Brazilian and the Hernanes rumours were born. For what it's worth, Le Grove has since said it's not Hernanes and not a Brazilian. No idea where the Afellay rumours have come from, but the Dempsey rumour is from some bloke claiming he's knows for a fact we're interested in him because his mate "works with" Dempsey.

Basically, M'Vila seems the only rumour with any substance to it.

Ooo, I really thought there was something in the Hernanes rumour.
I was hoping for him as well as M'vila.
Way too much hope obviously.
