What Fernando Torres you are talking about Capi? You surely mean Llorente?
Can take a look at De Marcos, Ander Iturraspe, and Susaeta too
Haha, I read that sentence perhaps 20 times earlier and then gave up trying to work out what you meant!
Does that mean you're not an admirer of Javi Martinez, Cap?
I was taking the piss but yes, I obviously meant Fernando Llorente Torres. 🙂
Javi Martinez is okay Ricky but nothing worth taking your time out to see.
Martinez is class
Martinez Vertonghen and Podolski would be a perfect summer to be honest add van persie staying and i can see us challenging for 1st spot.
Seemingly we've sent scouts to watch 22 year old Toulouse defender Abdennour at the weekend.
Looks at least 30 in that picture. Being linked with a few centre backs now - makes me wonder if there are long term concerns for Per.

Moving this in here from the match thread:

He's a solid defender for a team in Ligue 1 that play a measured game (read: defensive). I mean, yeah he's better than Squillaci and Djourou but I don't think he'll turn down TFC to be 4th choice for Arsenal. You also need to remember that we (TFC) are only 3 points away from CL qualifying spot which would be huge given the lack of any name talent (bar Sissoko who I think will be tempted by PSG next season), so he could very well be playing in Europe anyways.

He came straight from the tunisian league, didn't he? Yes, but he has played quite well this season alongside Congré and is definitely a first team player. We also have a lot of Tunisian supporters, so he's quite liked by the fans. I can't see this happening, to be honest.

I suspect it has do with the general media consensus that Vermaelen and especially Koscielny can be improved upon. Of course, a more constant defensive line-up along with a specialist left back is showing that we can generally keep teams out
And Vertonghen practically begging us in public to come in for him.
I just want us to add a match winner or two to the squad in the summer. Right now it's only really Robin and that's not close to being enough.
I hadn't thought about it that way. You really believe Claudius that pundit types don't rate the Kos Vermaelen pairing? They're wrong, naturally.
Nobody I know seems to rate koscielny. He's so so good right now

The commentator on my stream yesterday, dont know his name, but was saying how he thought koscielny had become one of the best cb in the league.
When the commentators and the MotD pundits catch up, so will all the fans.
Which just goes to show why we shouldn't care all that much whether or not other fans rate Koscielny.

“We will not be a lot on the market, quantity-wise I mean. Quality-wise, certainly,” he said. “But the [maximum] number of the squad is 25. We have many players out on loan and we will take a gamble if we find top, top quality of course.

I reckon (hope) Wenger's ready to spend a few quid this summer. Maybe even break our transfer record a couple of times.
😆 😉
I hope so.
That Passion de Multitudes blog still insisting we've got Holtby and Suarez on pre-contracts. Backtracking a bit on the latter tho.
I reckon he's full of shit, personally
Just some guy who likes that his blog gets so many hits due to his "insight" most likely.

Reading that "UNMISSABLE" new blog he posted yesterday, I have come to same conclusion. He doesn't know anything.
I bet we buy two players for more than £15m each.
You´ve certainly changed your tune about this guy Ricky! 🙂
Yep, I know. Reading that blog he posted yesterday was a bit of an eye opener though. You never know though, he's pretty adamant on Holtby and Suarez.
