Can´t see us being in the market for players at CM.

This Giroud guy looks interesting. Has made steady progress it seems in his last 3 seasons and always managed to step his goalscoring up. 15 goals and 5 assists in 21 games is very impressive. Right age and a big strong lad too.

He's a very good player. I'm not sure he'll sign for us though. He strikes me as someone who would want to play as much as possible for the next three years. Odds are that PSG or some Italian club will nick him instead.

Klaus, what's your impression of young Guidetti? Saw a few games live last season when he was playing for BP. At 18 he was clearly the best CF in Allsvenskan, and he produces impressive numbers in Holland.

I'm not sure. I haven't seen that much of him but I wasn't too impressed with him in Allsvenskan. They love him at Feyenoord though. He doesn't strike me as a player with any outstanding attributes, but his current goalscoring streak would suggest otherwise. My impression is that he looks a bit like a new Rosenberg. Not based on an awful lot of viewing though.

What makes you think so Tim? Combination of wage demands, two years left on his contract and obstreperous demands make it seem slightly unlikely to me.

That's a hilarious rumor. If Chelsea allowed Sturridge to leave, they'd need to have their noggins checked. On our end, it would be nice to have an English attack that includes Sturridge, Wilshere, Oxlade and Walcott (and RVP lording over them). Hehehe

Hmm appear to have missed some sarcasm there.

😆 Sturridge...

Has De Rossi still not signed a new contract?

I like Sturridge but I prefer the dodgy Holtby rumour from the other day. Sturridge does, however, qualify as home-grown which is a big bonus.

He has and it's rumoured to be the biggest contract in europe.

Sturridge is a talent, but he is incredibly selfish. Really not sure about him.

Sturridge won´t happen, BUT, he would be exactly the type of player we need. He can play at CF, and has also shown this season that he functions very well wide in a 4-3-3 formation. The fact that he is English, young, and likely to improve further is just a bonus.

Chelsea selling him to us is as probable as Barcelona selling Messi to Real Madrid though.

Why would a club with endless amounts of money sell one of their best talents to a direct rival... Anyway, it's better with some fictional rumors we can fantasize about instead of nothing I suppose.
