What do you mean, prove you wrong? My whole point is that there is nothing to prove. We make the workplace, we make the government, and we make society. We can make it however we like, it doesn't have hard and fast rules that we have to discover through the wizardry of rational thinking.

Oh, it makes sense alright. It means that we don't live in a capitalist, free-market society at all. It means we work for the wealthy, not for ourselves. The rich have an entire population to work for them so that they can fight wars with other populations. They create demand simply by wanting more money. Instead of the proletariat paying into a centralized government who then rations it back, the government is just a cash-box for the rich who can pull from it whenever they get into trouble. The dole is nothing compared to what these fuckers steal from us, it's a pittance, a useless trifle that keeps us alive long enough for them to make more money off us.

Luckily, we've succeeded to some extent in keeping some things for ourselves, but in your world it would be all of the above and more.

I'm not a communist, I don't believe in a single-party centralized government. I'm not a socialist either. I don't believe in a universal basic wage and I don't believe in paying someone for nothing. I also don't believe in working for nothing or throwing myself behind consumer capitalist culture that tells us we can do a job we hate as long as we make money because money=happiness.

Losing the point of what money is actually for is the bane of capitalism. If we've proved anything over the years it's that any codified system of economics or governance is idealistic and childish to pursue. It's flexibility, adaptability, and change that rule the day. Logic and reason get you only so far, sometimes you just have to decide what kind of world/society you want to live in and do everything you can to make it that way. Sometimes, the steps you need to take don't "make sense" in the current scheme of things, but that's the whole point. The scheme changes as human society changes, you can't keep that from happening. Instead of blaming women for not wanting to work the way you think they should work, you can think "what can we do to help make everyone's contribution rewarded according to how we value them in society?" That isn't against your precious capitalism, that's simply being a decent human being.

Survival of the fittest is a pretty stupid way of running modern society. Survival of the fattest is just lunacy.
