Sounds suspiciously like he's going to rest Van Persie. 'Tis the time of year Wenger usually makes a lot of changes. He has talked about using his squad for the festive period. Park Chu Young is starting against Wolves, I think.
Tough situation. RVP needs resting, as does Arteta but when do you rest them? I think all you can do is drop one per game for a few weeks and hope you get away with it.
Very tough. Wenger has spoken about resting Van Persie a lot. And while we want to see him on the pitch, Wenger is following this 'GPS system' or whatever it is that seems to be working. If Arsene does decide to put Van Persie on the bench, it won't be a decision that he would've taken lightly.
You can't keep playing the same XI at the Christmas period. Everyone rotates...Man Utd, Chelsea..everyone. But we have to be smart about how we do it. On paper, the line-up today looked fine. I thought Frimpong and Coquelin would add a lot of pace and strength. But the inexperienced showed and I think they struggled quite a bit. It's a very delicate business. It's nice that Wenger has some options but it's difficult.
