How is it the worst outcome?

We remain underdogs for Sunday and may lose some ground to Chelsea but if we win then we are back in the race for the title, the big game.

Now I know, many here will laugh that off but you never know. I'd rather we give ourselves the best possible chance.

FT

No unbeaten season for you Citeh

If this result stands, it's probably the worst possible outcome for us, but I'll just be happy to see city finally lose.

Unless of course we somehow beat City next weekend, in which case we'd be back in the title race 😉

Well, Chelsea winning for us was not good 🙁
This will boost them no doubt.
City exposed, gave up the fight even before Clichy was sent off, Chelsea in the end were more determined.

Clichy completely cost them. Not surprising.

Quite happy with the result. Should get our players well motivated knowing that a win @ City and we are well and truly right back in the title race.

It's ridiculous of course because in terms of the table it's the worst result for us, but still can't help punching the air now the unbeaten season lives on.

Has probably already been mentioned, but poor defending from Clichy for Chelsea´s equalizer.

City were never going to last the season unbeaten.
I'm genuinely surprised at how limply they gave that game up.

Course it's been mentioned 😆

We beat City and we are only 6 points off first place. Today was only a bad result for us if you believe we don´t stand a chance next weekend.

😆 Figured as much, but still felt there was room for mentioning it again.

Btw, really, really poor from Clichy for Chelsea´s equalizer.

Or if you believe that it's never good for Chelsea to have a big win under their belts.
For me a draw would have been the best result here.

You'd think City will stop signing Arsenal players after this. £70m for the shit we've sold them. 😆

Shitty fans must be ripping into poor Clichy the way we've done several times in the past.

With you Y va, but for me this was the 2nd best result.

IMO Chelsea are far from through their difficult period. Their defense looks dodgy as hell, and they are too dependant on Mata. Drog to ACN? Not good for them.

Nasri didn't even get on the pitch.

He´ll start at the weekend though.

Btw, Yaya puts his hand to Mata's face and didn't get booked. Isn't that technically a 3 game ban?

I seem to remember Macherano or Aliadiere doing something similar and getting a ban.

Mancini blaming the non concession of that first half penalty for the loss.

Yaya first kicked Mata when he was on the ground because he thought he went down easily, then hit Mata in the face when Mata minutes later was telling him he was a bellend for doing so. Then in the 2nd half he deliberately stamped on Ramires´s calf. Result? Not even a yellow.

Mancini got punished for his negative subs IMO. De Jong for Silva? Gtfo.

Which means the FA can act retrospectively. If they do what they should Yaya should get a ban.

So if we're lucky

No Clichy and if the Fa grow some balls then no Yaya on Sunday

Right Nela. Hope they do. Not holding my breath though.

I disagree Dules that it was nothing. You can´t go around kicking people or bitch slapping them. The stamp on Ramires was just cynical. He should have been sent off. Agree that it is unlikely he will get punished though.

Song got three games for stomping on Barton, so...

you've got to laugh at the state of the game when chelsea are seen as the plucky underdogs. el cashico indeed

I was watching this game and thinking this is the difference between Spain and England.
This weekend we had El Classico in Spain, and most of us won't watch La Liga again until the 2nd El Classico.
In England, there was El Cashico today. Next week it's Arsenal vs Citeh, and then after that it's Chelsea - Spurs a few days after that. And none of those games include United or Liverpool.

Thought Balotelli was superb by the way. Didn't really know who I wanted to win tbh, but i can live with the final result. Feck it, dont think city are all they are cracked up to be, although they are good, so why not think we can beat them and have a little challenge for the title of our own.

Have a feeling Mancini is going to throw it away. Watched a fair bit of City now and I feel he is a good analyst but too reactionary to ever be a top manager.

Didn't watch it last night, but I certainly was cheered by the news on the train in this morning.

Regardless of the points situation, you can't help but be glad City's unbeaten start is over. No one will repeat the Invincibles' feat.

As for the rest, just hope we are able to scrape a draw or a win next weekend. Perhaps there will be a bit of unrest at City during the week.

Oh, and as good as balotelli was, thought Yaya was proper shit.

Decent result I'd say. Really couldn't go too wrong for us. I think I like taking points of City and keep the top nice a cozy so if someone does slip up we at least have a chance to take advantage no matter who it is.

It's a shame we won't have Santos, think he would have had a big game against City.

we probably jinxed ourselves with all the talk about how we've avoided major injury so far. gibbs reminds me too much of clichy, and i prefer vermaelen at CB. oh well..

clichy was utter crap, glad we got rid. yaya looked lazy. long may it continue.

Amen brother. 😆
I can't believe some of you people-
We have got fuck all chance of winning.
Chelsea have got fuck all chance of winning.
Tottenham have got fuck all chance of winning.
It will come down to a 2 horse race and City will win.

In this context the most important thing from our aspect is that we continue to be the only club in modern history to remain unbeaten for the whole season. 8)

Tourés attempt to snip Ramires' achilles tendon last night really should produce a retroactive ban:

I didn't realise his stamina was so poor, by the way. I've always considered him an energy player but this season he's been out of breath in no time.
