And I wish we could see a bit of Benayoun in Ramsey's role. Ramsey's just not good enough yet.

Also we simply have to start using oxlade chamberlain. Kids got ability and a brain, he doesn't need protecting this much

Well, that was that then. Koscielny and Szczesny should take a fucking bow for that performance. In fact the whole defence did very well. Very comforting to see. We just don't have the forwards to match them though, which is unsurprising since we offloaded our best attacking players in the summer. We need a wide forward in january who doesn't fuck up every time he's got the ball. Gervinho is the best of a bad bunch and he's off to the ACN. Imagine what we'll look like with Arshavin and Walcott out wide. Then imagine what will happen if Robin misses a string of games and we have to rely on those two for goals and playmaking.

can't fault the team's effort. btw, vermaelen is definitely more of a goal threat than all our attackers combined bar van persie.

this team deserves a chance to win - wenger MUST get rid of arshavin and chamakh and buy a top class attacker. so frustrating to see our CB take quality shots on goal that our forwards are incapable of doing.

Can't argue with that, City had the better performance and could have had another. Equally we could have had a goal as well during various intervals.

Fair play to the players, most of them did try their hardest. Arteta was probably our best player - again.

But we absolutely need more cutting edge. Wilshere's return will help but outwide we at least need better options off the bench to play outwide this January even if we can't sign Goetze, Hazard or whoever else is good. The sight of Arshavin and Chamakh makes me weep and although I don't dislike Walcott or Gervinho, they can't be relied upon as yet.

I'm proud of the way we battled for it, a team captained by Cesc Fabregas would have rolled over instantly. We lack quality in the front six. Wenger needs to buy attacking quality in January. Don't understand how Gervinho stayed on instead of Theo, our worst player.

On a positive note, Kos and Vermaelen are real winners and quality players to boot.

In addition to jack. I've been saying jack will raise us a level all the while but getting another talent which is well within our means would make things much easier

QS, a fit Wilshere will be a welcome replacement for Ramsey, but we still need someone better than Walcott and Gervinho. Mata would have made a difference.

We deserved at least a draw tbf. vermaelen could have easily scored, arshavin fucked up a simple shot and a simple cross.

If we're not going to play Oxlade then why cant we loan him out to a premier league team? If he cant go ahead the terrible Arshavin than whats the point?

Vermaelen and Arteta were superb I thought.
Ramsey and Song were busy but offensively didnt contribute much.
Walcott frustrating, moreso his replacement.
Miquel did well in a tough game, had a brain fart for their goal though.

Tough loss. A draw would have been good, a win was very possible.
The lads left it all out there. Great mental spirit.
Weak bench we had.
ManC is so beatable.
Mostly disappointed with our midfielders, Arteta and Aaron, and shocked by Theo's lack of game.
Arsenal had a good plan, but could not capitalize on their opportunities.
AW has to take a long hard look at that transfer window.
We are now 13 points behind 1st place.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Arsene.

Indeed. We'd improve by playing vermaelen behind rvp which is madness

Good effort.

We were lucky to keep them down to one, but had a couple of great chances to equalize. The difference between us and Spurs isn't as bad as I initially thought, so let's get back on track and put this one behind us.

he's about as good as 16 yr old fabregas right now, which sounds like criticism, but it's not. he does offer more in work rate, which makes a big difference.

the issue with this squad is that we need one top class forward.
